CS31-4 day training plus 1 day NPTC assessment -Unit 202.
This is a five day course which gives you the knowledge and skills to safely fell trees up to 380cm diameter. You must already have achieved NPTC Units 201 and 202 (cs30) in order to attend this course. Typically, the course runs from Tuesday to Friday with assessments being held on Saturdays.
Day one introduces you to risk assessments and legislation for tree felling, followed by training and practise of felling small trees using standard felling techniques, removal of branches (snedding) and processing of timber.
Day two will continue with standard felling and move onto felling trees in direction of fell and against direction of fell (leaning trees).
Days three and four will move on to safe removal of hung up trees and continued practise of felling cuts learnt in days one and two.
There will be an opportunity for a mock assessment on day four to fully prepare you for your assessment.
