CS30 – 2 day training course, plus 1 day NPTC assessment -Unit 201.
This chainsaw training course will teach you how to maintain, sharpen and use a petrol driven chainsaw safely. Passing this course is essential to progress onto a CS31 course and assessment.
Day one includes:
- Risk assessments, legislations, components of chainsaws, their inspection and maintenance, diagnostics, chain sharpening, safe starting procedures and basic cutting practice.
Day two includes:
- Recap of day one maintenance elements, safe starting and further practice of crosscutting timber.
You will have an opportunity for a practice test, to prepare you fully for your assessment.
